About me

Kimberly

“ Cast your cares on Him, because He cares for you”.

I Peter 5:7

Kimberly resides in Chicago, Il. with her husband and two adolescent sons. Educated in the Chicago Public School system she is a graduate of Lane Technical High School. A longtime resident and Chicagoan she attended the University of Illinois at Chicago graduating with a Bachelor’s in Accounting and National Louis University where she received a Master’s in Business Administration.

She came to Christ in July of 1998 at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, with the weight of her family addictions heavy on her heart. In 2009, the Lord called her and her young family to make their home with the Oakdale Covenant Church family where they enjoyed a robust children’s ministry. Here she served as a volunteer from 2009 to 2016 when she was called to leadership as her husband was appointed to Pastor the children’s ministry. The Lord has continued to elevate her to leadership by calling her as First Lady to the Gospel Way Covenant Church family located at 8152 S. Saginaw in the Avalon neighborhood on Chicago’s southeast side.

Here she served on the church council as Financial Secretary. As a Gospelwain, her motto is, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, Philippians 4:13. God continues to use her by praying, reading scripture, facilitating counseling and speaking words of encouragement when called upon by others. Most recently He has enabled her to help others in preparing their bible study lessons and to participate in several arenas where God’s word is dissected and discussed. A marriage advocate, she has enjoyed participating as a panelist at Oakdale’s first annual marriage retreat where she shared the virtuous woman perspective with the husbands in attendance. Her favorite scriptures are Matthew 7: 7, “Ask and it shall be given, seek and ye shall find, knock and the door shall be opened and I Peter 5:7, “ Cast your cares on Him, because He cares for you”.

Please continue to pray for her and with her as she continues her journey with Christ, submitting to His will and leaning into His strength as He continues to mold her for His purpose and into the Uniquely Designed image He has for her life.
